Modern Forms is pleased to have loaned Suwasa by Eduardo Paolozzi for his retrospective at the Whitechapel Gallery, UK.
One of the most innovative and irreverent artists of the 20th century, Paolozzi’s work challenged convention earning him the title ‘godfather of Pop Art.’ The retrospective at Whitechapel Gallery spanned five decades from the 1950s through to the Swinging Sixties and advent of ‘Cool Britannia’ in the 1990s. The exhibition featured over 250 works; from the artist’s post-War bronzes, revolutionary screen-prints and collages, to his bold textiles and fashion designs.
